  1. still waiting for Motech to get me the accessory brackets. Their mill was down for service so they are very delayed... and then they had issues with it... so long story short. I have been waiting wince before mid August for these brackets..:/ A smaller exciting update. I finally dropped the front drive shaft off for the rebuild. so once i have that back all thats left is the tune and i should be able to wheel this thing!!!:) oh wait. i lied. I am slightly concerned about the transmission lines. the new motor/trans had slightly different hard lines attached to the transmission and im afraid i might get into them when fully bumped out. so there is that to worry about. but maybe ill test it first and see what happens...
  2. So I had my tune schedule for this past Tuesday 8/27. $100 non refundable deposits for the appointment. The Jeep has been running great and I even have been moving it around the driveway from time to time. Well you know how that goes... as the tow truck pulled up to transport me to the tune shop my Jeep decided the belt was misaligned again. So I ended up having to cancel the appointment. And now I’m just going to bite the bullet and get Motech billet brackets. They are expensive but hopefully they will fix this problem. And more importantly provide me with the peace of mind that the belt is all good. Motech is super slow so hopefully I can get what I need ordered soon!
  3. Thanks Jake. I know it’s not Jeep related but here are a few things I have made over the last year.
  4. I did. It’s made with recycled skateboards.
  5. Sold a table top this week so should have the funds to get it tuned and the front drive shaft rebuilt. Which is all that’s left!:) Hopefully sometime in the next 2 weeks.
  6. Tire carrier is complete and permanently installed. This Jeep has never had a spare tire on it since I bought it. So there is some getting use to. But I’m super happy with how it turned out!!
  7. Well I decided to send it on fully tig welding the brackets onto the corner armor. to me they looks solid and look like they aren’t going anywhere. Since I have to repaint the driver side I also decided to pull the passenger side and repaint it as well.
  8. OH MY GOD YOU OWN THIS NOW!!! So jealous! What an amazing machine! I havent even finished reading the first post
  9. The rest of the exhaust has been modified so it no longer contacts the skid plate and rattles. most of the exhaust is from the previous owner who we all know did quality work. Maybe eventually I’ll get an actual exhaust professionally built. Or just wrap it in exhaust heat wrap and hide it all I have been working on mounting the Genright cage I picked up for a good price. Brackets are welded up and I should have it all wrapped up tomorrow. Practicing my tig welding for this one. Next up once I have enough money I can finally get it tuned. Unfortunately the 2 shop quotes i got are $850ish
  10. I ended up having to move last month so haven't finished up the last little bit of things on her before i can start driving her and then take her out for a shakedown run. i still need to finish up the passenger side exhaust. Get her tuned/dynoed. Have the front drive shaft rebuilt. some of these things i have just been lazy about. but she did drive over to the new house just fine. however i only moved about .5 mile down the road i did get a new to me used Genright aluminum tire carrier that ill end up putting on after i get her up and running 100%.
  11. i was wondering the same thing
  12. This is the main reason why i didn't get the Krashfab bumper even though it looks awesome and high clearance! you could always get the Warn control box relocation kit. However the problem with that is where to relocate it .
  13. Working Day 30 I think of motor exchange? I think Haha. Successful test drive complete! With the exception of a front drive shaft the Jeep is 100% put back together so o was able to put her in gear and go around the block! wish I could upload a video but hopefully this screenshot captures how I feel after all this work. test drive went very well. Took it super easy though. The jeep shifted great and everything seems to be working. however I do have cam surge which I didnt anticipate. However it’s not really a problem because I was expecting that I would need a tune. So no problem there just need to get it taken care of before I really test her out.
  14. Well Friday was suppose to be the test drive day. And I say suppose to be because Wanda just needs her drive shaft put back and the fluids bleed/burped and I can take her for a spin. That all went sideways when I went to start her for the first time with the belt on so I can bleed the steering and burp the cooling system. Hard to see in the photo but the belt jumped backwards off the alternator and was rubbing the alternator. so I either have too long of a belt or my alignment is off. The only thing different in this motor than the last Jeep it was in and running is the PS pump. It had a Howe full hydrolic pump; and I’m running the standard PSC hydro assist pump. So the diameter might be different which hopefully means my belt is just too loose. I’ll work on it next week; if I cannot figure it out I’ll just order the billet brackets from Motech. Which I should Have don’t when the front of the Jeep was off. It will be much more difficult now with the radiator back in. some good news though. The new headlights JW speaker headlights look sick!! and lastly. I “successfully” modified the driver exhaust to clear the tcase. However I purposefully pulled the rest of it towards the driver side so now I have to tweak the passanger because it’s touching the transmission mount/bushing now. But I now have more clearance for the front drive shaft because of this.
  15. Looks so good! you always impressed me on 37s. now im afraid to see what you can do with 40s! we might have to go back to Calico and retry this one again:)
