i did not know IKEA made jeep parts. I know now!!!!!

What a beast !!!!!! Congrats Jerry! Which one are you taking to the Desert Roundup?

Like the furniture you get at IKEA, White Jeep has "some assembly required"

It's drivable, but no fenders, armor, lights, winch, functional lockers,.......

But it will be a blast to run through the desert with!

It won't have the lean when it is all dialed in, but I need to get it loaded first, to even it out.

After Alan helped me swap some springs around that we're in the wrong location, and adjusted the pressure, it is sitting and performing better.

After the next week, it will be even better.

The siblings have been reunited!

Neither one is completely "finished", but both are in running order, and going to head to Sand Hollow!

White Jeep 3.0 is out at play!

I ran around Sand Hollow today, a quick trip up the sand dunes, out to Top of the World, and back.

This Jeep flies!

I think a new name may be in order.  Speed Jeep maybe?

Now to get on putting the rest of it together.

Seems like some bugs to iron out.

Stopped outside of Bakersfield on the way to Visalia, and after stopping, the transmission decided to throw a hissy fit and refuse to shift. Stuck in 3rd gear.

I communicated with him some today, we cleared codes, reset the computer, and it got "better", but far from right.

It seems the main problem is a pressure sensor inside the valve body.

Going to try to research a competent shop that deals with late model GM and get it in.

On a positive note, the front bumper and winch is on, so with front and rear bumpers, a long with front and rear fenders it is looking nearly like a complete Jeep again.

Front stripped and frame cut:

Holes drilled for the weld in bushings:

After some paint, the final assembly with the winch mounted:

That winch looks like it sits pretty high.  Hopefully doesn’t block your air flow.

I had the same thought.

Everything is a trade off of some sort.

I had a good run uphill in 106 degrees heat on the way up, watching the temp gauge closely. If I see much of a change, I will look for a low profile winch like a CTI 9.5 Warn

This is the main reason why i didn't get the Krashfab bumper even though it looks awesome and high clearance!

you could always get the Warn control box relocation kit. However the problem with that is where to relocate it 🤣

Any update on the cause of breakdown?

It seems to be an electrical problem with the internal harness in the transmission.

We have a mobile guy coming next week with a new harness and sensors.

🤞🤞 That will fix it.

When you see we I hope to hell that means Bubba.

We in terms of finding a local guy and vetting him to know he is good is Dennis.

We in terms of paying is Bubba. He is doing a good job of tech support and standing behind his work. While it is disappointing that it has a problem, anything with this much custom work is likely to have bugs.

If I had sent him everything for a complete build, he would have been able to test drive it for an extended amount of time, hopefully getting all the bugs worked out before I picked it up.

Thanks Mike!

I had forgotten about that option, though, as mentioned, where to put it🤷

I will have to check on a location that will work.

I like the extra drum access and visibility this option gives, so hopefully it works out.

So long as it’s not your dime then fine and glad Bubba is standing behind it.
