Emergency brake cable on 2015 to 2018 jku ud60 axle upgrade

I found some information out on the emergency brake cable for the UD60 setup.

You can see the different lengths of cables, the dirty brake cables are the stock cables at 78”. P/n 52059891AM

 

The outer one to left in the picture is 12” longer then stock at 90”. p/n 68002669AD

 

The outer one to the right is 22” longer then stock at 98”. p/n56052970AE

 

On the Jeep the emergency brake lever is centered in the vehicle.

 

Ud60 recommends using emergency brake cables from a 1500 dodge.

 

the 1500 Dodge that they took these out of has a foot emergency brake that is on one side of the truck so making the need for one cable to be longer than the other.

 

look at the two pictures that I took of the rear of Jeep with the cables hanging out the side, the 90 inch cable is plenty long enough for my set up.

 

Note: maybe other set ups might need the 98” long cable but that would need two of the 98” cables not one each of 98 & 90.

That’s my thoughts
 I’m gonna order The second of the p/n ending with 2669 cable and set my rig up with that, just sharing my thoughts and findings with the group.
