More from today's work.

We got the rear outboard mounts cut into the frame, and ready for the welder.

Then we played with the cage.

We didn't have the right size tube to splice the main rail when we cut it to shorten, so we couldn't get too far.

Next is to finish the mock up, then build the lower mount for the B pillar.

Next time should show more.

The ride height is going to be higher than before, and higher than I planned, but still nearly 2 inches lower than Dennis' Jeep.

Once the rest is set, as long as the driveshaft has enough droop, I can go to 14" in the front, and I will be set up for 42s, once 5he front axle gets replaced with a 60.

I don’t like the pictures of me working on this thing, it damages my reputation of not doing anything when work needs to be done. I like the reputation of taking pictures of people doing work. 😂🤣😂

Who in their right mind has TWO Jeep builds in progress at the same time 🥴😵‍💫

Vengeance has a long ways to go.

I'm hoping for a trip to Visalia now that I'm moved to work on more.

I did score a new in the box Warn 10K winch, so I can replace the one that was on its last legs by the time we made it to camp at Fordyce.

I was also able to trade the old EVO bumper for a 30" rear light bar.

The welder is working with a sheet of 0.190 aluminum for the roof, and I believe the second rear shock mount is finished.

Time for final cycling and tacking them in.

Hopefully I will have progress pictures soon 🤞🤞

Dennis made some progress on Vengeance today.

Now both rear towers are mocked up.

Tomorrow he will cycle the axle, and if there aren't any problems, the towers can get welded in, and gussets cut and welded in.

Once the towers are welded and tied together, we can finally cut out the subframe that EVO built.

#evodeletekit

Then on to the front.

Probably, though he still needs more when he gets home.

"Some assembly required"

Bumpers, fenders, armor, lights, winch, wiring, interior, ....

The drivetrain should be 🔥🔥🔥

You’re going to love the drivetrain!  I have never been in a genright elite Jeep before so that’s probably just going to make it even more 🔥🔥🔥

When is the cage going back in?

My plan, might be different than Jerry’s plan 😂🤣 is to get the front end done and have a rolling chassis. put Vengeance on the trailer and take it over to the welders house to install the cage. then fabricate the new tire carrier and tower cross brace.

More work on Vengeance this weekend:

We deleted all the Dynatrac and EVO brackets from the front axle, and located and tacked the GenRight brackets in place, ready to be welded.

The EVO shock towers are the only thing left, and they will do, for now.

Once the brackets are fully welded in, we can hang the axle, with it located per the GenRight specs, move the steering box back to its original location on the frame, and install their track bar bracket on the axle.

Because we are using the Dynatrac axle, we have to locate the track bar mount carefully, so we don't have interference with the track bar and the differential.

Dennis also mocked up the GenRight fenders, and we are pretty sure it will work out.

I really didn't like the no fender look, so this will be good.

The rear tower gussets are cut, and the B pillar mount for the cage is fabricated.

Still a long road ahead, since every step forward reveals more that needs changed to work with the final plan.

I tried to test fit the Krashfab bumper, but since the frame cross member that the steering ram was hooked to broke on the Rubicon this year, the frame rails are farther apart in front, and that needs fixed to get the bumper on.

Since I'm putting a larger winch on, the VKS bumper has to go, since only the small frame winch will fit with it, and that one was on its last legs by the end of the Fordyce recovery project.

It is a long road, but I am confident that it will be worth the struggle.

That's a ton of work and mind boggling.

I hope when you finish you do an "as built" description of what you've done.

Somewhere I missed it... what did you do with the hood.  Didn't the hood it came with have integral fenders and a reverse flip to open
