Installing some CTM's the other daaaaay...

Recommended Posts

Damn nice product.  The seem solid and beefy as hell!

Very nice not having needle bearings to deal with.  Those that have been on the trail with me know what I am talking about... From forming a search party to look for the one that just fell out... To tossing out a NEW u-joint because one slipped down inside the cap and got crushed...

I don't think they would work in my rig because I have the hubs in at higher speeds now and then...  But they should work well in a trail only rig.

Ctm’s are great and tough as shit! They are very expensive but well worth it. With proper maintenance I’ve never seen one break or go bad.

That being said I’ve sold & run more Yukon Super joints then I have CTM’s (due to cost difference) & never had to warranty or replace a set of either (unless on a d44).

Going with Yukons will save you a lil cash for other upgrades. Proper maintenance is KEY to the longevity of either brands.

Long story short is you can’t go wrong with either option. CTM = Baller status, Yukon Super Joints= Budget Baller lol

I have a set of these in my parts kit. Very similar to the CTM's.  I ended up installing a Yukon SJ on one side of my axle because some dumbass broke a joint that came with the axles.

Does Yukon make a Dana SPL70 size?

Part # for Yukon Super Joints for UD / Dana 60 is SJ-733X-733

If you have upgraded to 1550 size axle joints you will be forced to run the CTM’S, as Yukon doesn’t have an option for that size yet.

Super Joints are in stock ready to ship!

Are we really talking $500 plus for these?

Unfortunately that is the case, just under $500 shipped to you.

Not sure if it's just ironic to me, but I think that the YJ in the pics above was $500......
