Rear fender trimming

Anybody cut this thing out?  I think I am going to need to do something with it to fit my chains.

Yep....just fill in the void with spray foam & paint.

An alternative is to hammer it over. Mine is, then painted with undercoat texture to disguise it.

I cut mine out and made a patch plate I welded back in.   Painted it and called it good.  I can confirm though the spray foam works great too.  Worked for the cavern I made putting those enclosures in.

Somehow I am the only one who was able to get away with not cutting it out.  I think my chains will hit it.

Oh yeah.... mine is cut back. I been meaning to get a flat piece of metal and tack weld it over the hole.

If you look close, I did not take really good pictures of how I trimmed my rear wheel wells back. I took my small cutting wheel and cut in between each of the spot welds at the seam and then took a hammer and beat those flat. then covered it with flex-all from the can ( paint brush) I have the nemesis fender inserts helps cover up the imperfections.
I’ll take pictures tomorrow evening.
