Nice Little Jeep
The plan is to add the C-Pillar Brace Kit – JK 4dr and Center Bar Rear to this cage system. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
I use double-sided tape to get the template at the right location for drilling, made it a little easier. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
No, I’m on the passenger side right now, I should have that done today. The driver side and upper bar is done. The trim pieces, I sucked at, so I ordered new ones today. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
Drivers side is installed and top bar making sure that I’m not squeezing in the A pillars. I put that bar in there first then put my spacers in to make sure that the A pillars on the jeep stay. A lot of work, but that could be my OCD. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
Not happy with this gap. I have some ideas but I can do that on the finish work. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
Jerry’s roll cage lives again in another jeep. The roll cage is complete for the most part. I’m waiting for some new parts to come in, stick a knife in my hand and I’ll screw something up . new corner, trim pieces and roll bar padding covers. I ordered the new pleather covers. I’m happier with the passenger side. I know what I did different, I drilled the holes a little closer to the edge on the passenger side. It’s a game of 1/16th of an inch. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
The key to not bending the A pillars inward, make sure all the mounting bolts are loose, when you’re tightening up the crossbars. Before tightening up the crossbar clamps, loosen up all the bolts on both sides of the windshield, then start tightening the clamps on the crossbars that will help everything adjust accordingly. I added a washer as a shim in between the bracket and the A pillar. The single bolt on the side of the A pillars. Link to comment

Do you need to take the whole thing apart? I've pulled those side panels off a few times to run wiring. 1 Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
Well, I don’t run wire through there, I know some guys run wire through that hole in the fire wall. I run all my wire through the main access hole underneath the brake master cylinder. so yeah, if you have to run wire there, you will need to tear apart the whole roll cage. That would really suck to upgrade or add accessories in the cab if that’s the case. Link to comment

On the pass side it's behind the glove box to access. I have all my wires going through there with no issues. Take off your passenger’s inner fender and look slightly up at the fire wall and you will see it. Then reach up behind the glove box and you can feel it. 1 Link to comment

KevinG
I think those are the ones Dave is talking about in the second pic. I had used the one on the passenger side for a power wire for my GMRS. Had to pull it because Genright uses it to locate the front suuport. 1 Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
I attached this video it’s pretty good video showing how people use those holes on both sides of the Jeep to route their wire into engine compartment. Refers to them about six minutes into the video. Link to comment
Dave
Ya I know about those grommets. I used it on the driver's side for some switches and CB antenna. On passenger I pulled wiring for my underseat ARB through a small gap near the hood hinge. Comes out behind the dash and runs down the plastic trim in front of the door opening. Need to remove that side panel to fish the wires through. 1 Link to comment

I dont think they state that in the instructions. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
The instructions say that the sound bar will be 3/8” to 1/2” lower in the center, I drilled these two 3/4“ holes at the bolt locations and now the bar sits flush. 1 Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
Ordered a new driver side corner because I screwed up the first one got a pair off eBay for like 45 bucks shipped to the house worth it because I like the finish look. The second one came out really good. Happy with it. The key is being patient. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
The tools I used, air dye grinders with sanding wheel, abrasive pad, and sharp knife. Bring your patience it takes a lot of patience. walk away and come back if you get frustrated with it. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
OK, just detailing out the roll cage, putting insulation around the dash. I wanted to fill these gaps so I went to Lowe’s and bought copper pipe insulation. It’s the smoother surface insulation. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
The insulation puts a finishing touch on the gaps. so I don’t see the wire and stuff beyond the cage. before I installed the cage this area was covered with that plastic panel. so it bothered me seeing that stuff now the cage was installed.
