Nice Little Jeep
Look when I install my roll cage I also installed wind catchers. I didn’t even get the Jeep out of my complex, and I can hear the wind beneath the freedom tops and what was on the radio wind beneath my wings.. The instructions say that the Freedom tops have some extra material right around the clamps, you will need to trim some of that material. It’s a nice way to put it. You need to grind on your top!! And flatten the top side of the bolts to the clamps to give some more clearance. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
Instructions read to clean off excess material off your freedom tops. That’s a nice way to put grid on your tops. You just need to clear some more material away so the clamp has clearance, there’s no extra material. I use my bigger sanding wheel on my air Die grinder works real well. next is the bolts on the clamp. Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
Instructions say to mark the bolts and take them out grind them. Yeah I’m better with a grinder than that, so I took some duct tape, covered up the bolts and grinded back the duct tape. I’m pretty good with a grinder. 1 Link to comment
Nice Little Jeep
I put the tops back on and they fit real nice, and no more wind beneath my freedom top. I took the Jeep for a test drive and everything sounds really good. Project is done, waiting to get more money so I can add the rear roll cage support. 4 Link to comment
