Air chucks and inflation systems

I just saw this video on air chucks, and how important the right one is to the flow while airing up.

I ended up getting the Apex air chuck to go with the valves I have.

It seems to push the schrader valve open much farther than others.

 

To the point where it had issues on a rig that didn't have the core screwed in far enough.

 

 

I might get a set of these to install in the 2nd valve stem hole in my wheels next time I switch tires.

I put the Apex rapid deflation valves on the White Jeep.

 

Still on a standard valve on Vengeance, but when I change tires the next time, I will update to something better.

I like mine. 

 

Only issue I have is due to my wheels and the rear hub.  There is not enough room to use a 90° chuck on the deflators.  So I use the normal valve on the 2nd hole. 

 

Works great on the front though.

 

I think that rapid inflate valve would be short enough to fit.

If I ever buy wheels again, a second hole is one of the criteria!

I have the Apex valves on my Grenade Crawls - they work really well. I have a rebuild kit in case one of the o-ring seals ever fails
