Fury22
Hello old friends. Gathering input on something… im going to bigger axles over the winter and wondering what opinions, good or bad, you may have on a 14 bolt front axle vs 40 spline super 60… my main interest is low pinion vs high and uptravel clearance issues with the center chunk… pricewise they are about the same, going through ecgs…. discuss Link to comment
Jdofmemi
Interesting topic. I say it largely depends on where and what kind of wheeling you do. My choice runs to high pinion, for driveshaft clearance. With rocks that move a lot, like the Hammers, and others I frequent. The 14 bolt is strong, but comes at the expense of driveshaft clearance. I do like the idea of 40 spline axles. Are you going with RCVs as well? Link to comment
Fury22
Yea, 40 spline rcvs either way. Trying to do it right this time . also going 42/43 stickies. Im sure the 60 will be fine and has been for years, im just curious what others say about the latest 14 bolt front fad haha. Link to comment
Jdofmemi
I have questions about the 40 spline super 60. Is that new? Have I just missed it? Sounds like something that could be in my future thoughts as well. Link to comment

Super kingpin setup that can fit 40 spline big bells . With super 60 10.1” gears. 1 Link to comment
