MIOffroadCustoms
I love RCs especially crawlers! I have had many over the years. My current set up is a heavily modded Axial Wraith! 1 Link to comment

Just kidding and I hope you get a response soon. Hopefully they dont pull Jeep/Chryslers constant warranty BS.. “Sorry sir you modified your jeep and drove it Offroad so your entire warranty is void.” Link to comment
fiend
Kinda lame it’s taken them so long to address it. 1 Link to comment
AJK
I am happy to report that Dana stood behind their warranty and is sending locker and a few parts out tomorrow. Dosent look like they are going to cover the ring gear and pinion or the wheel hubs and seals even though they are all thrashed as well. The parts list they sent me did not have them included. Gonna call back tomorrow to see why but overall happy they are taking care of most of it. Pulled it all apart and cleaned her out good. Sure was fun getting those races out. Ring gear and pinion has chips and looks like was set to heal of gear. Housing has some marks but thats expected. Marcus from River City Offroad was amazing and was ontop of everything. Sucks he had to play middle man but he is awesome to deal with. 3 1 Link to comment

fiend
Part of the adventure. Happy to hear you’re getting at least the expensive bits covered under warranty. Link to comment
AJK
So gonna pick up a press today and have a few parts on order. After its all back together axles, wheels, and maybe tires are going up for sale. I'm going to just move forward with what I have been wanting to do and with the UDs now being 20k new I think 15-17k for the package would be fair. 2 Link to comment
AJK
Its fits and for $119 its cheap enough to keep for the next set of axles. Link to comment

AJK
Nothing makes me happier than ordering something that was supposed to be here in 2 days and it took 5 and then as soon as you open it up the threads are stripped. 1 Link to comment

It’s been happening quite frequently lately. I’ve had to return a bunch of things lately because it’s either defective or damaged upon arrival. Supply chain issues; ship whatever the heck we got seems to be the new motto. Link to comment

Big shout out and thank you to Jerry for coming over last night and helping me get the gearing all set. Went pretty fast and having a second set of hands was much needed. Just got to run the plug, tighten her up and fill her up. Thank you Jerry you're a good friend. 4 2 Link to comment

So was it as fun as you thought it was going to be doing all the work yourself? Was the new Eaton that Dana supplied you a 2 or 4 pinion? Link to comment

Took 3 tries and first one I measured shims wrong, second needed more shims, third we got it. They sent me a 2 pinion replacement same one I had. Good part is I added tools to the toolbox as well. 1 Link to comment

It’s one of those projects that people treat as black magic but it’s actually fairly simple technically. But it can definitely be frustrating if you have to try a lot of different shim combinations. Also if you don’t have the proper tools. Link to comment

Always nice to have knowledge and experience around. I was speaking to a guy who does gears and sells UD’s etc (Robert Kobal) today. He was under the impression that the UD’s were shipped with the 4 pinions.. Then he though maybe only original old stock might have came with it. It honestly sounds from the more I dug that they ship them all with the 2’s. Link to comment
