Good lord. probably common sense to most but I’m an idiot….when drilling the sheet metal a step bit works WAY better. It doesn’t shred the damn flimsy sheet metal, especially at the c bracket where it’s double walled and wants to make a mess. anyway…. Nice progress 1 Link to comment
AJK
Oh now the side tubes and cross bars. Looking good Jeff. Link to comment
Ethan Remington
Weld the seat belt and soft top bungs in before you start tacking bars in. The bar above the drivers seat has square notchs that goes above centerline. They write it in bold in the instructions but we fucked that part up to being with. And there was a bar you want to do in reverse order between C and D. Im sure byron remembers. 1 Link to comment

Needless to say some very bloody knuckles and a lot of cursing I got. For anyone who hasn’t done this part I would strongly suggest a few things 1). As Byron told me, Sharpen both edges with the bevel the same way. Make sure they are sharp. 2). Take a long screwdriver and come from the top and start driving into the caulk. It gives the tool a place to purchase. 3). Save your hands and knuckles and take a scrap piece of steel and weld it onto the end to make a hammering ledge and grip to be able to pull from. I have nightmares about that stupid thing. My hands hurt so bad that my sex life took a downward turn. 4 Link to comment
Weebz
All me. I don’t have hands around here. Put about 23 hours in the garage this weekend. Try to get another 15 this week and another full two days this weekend. 2 1 Link to comment
Jdofmemi
Props to you. That's a huge project, and by yourself makes some things that much harder. 1 Link to comment

Weebz
Little more progress. The c cross bar supports to the tub are going to be skipped in my cage unless I do some serious modifying as my towers are directly in the way. 1 1 Link to comment
Ethan Remington
If there is room......see if you can trim the lower c bars that u plan on skipping a little and bolt them to your rear shock towers. 2 Link to comment

Gruff
The same thing happens with the GR towers. There's a short piece and bracket that ties the crossbar to the tower. Link to comment
