Nice little jeep build

Recommended Posts

Update on the NLJ; Front long arms are installed, just need to weld everything in to complete the installation. I will probably have that done when I have the rear ready to be welded so I can bring the welder at the same time. I’m not doing the welding. I’m having a buddy that is a phenomenal welder.

That's way too shiny under your Jeep 🤣🤣

Looks like you need to wheel more😁😁😁

Jerry that photo was taken when I was installing the new Borla exhaust, Artec crossmember and bellypan system. 😉
Agreed though, more wheeling is needed!

Sorry OP for posting on your thread.

Little update on the Nice Little Jeep, To get the 40s to fit and get full turning radius I had to trim 2 inches off the nemesis fenders and then beat back the seams of the body in the wheel well, I attached pictures how I cut them back. Used a sawzall and cut in between each spot weld and then you beat the lip back flat. I took flexseal with a paintbrush I bush all around to seal that seam backup. I applied flexseal to the seam to stop any leaks into the cab. If you look I have nemesis fenders and fender inserts and it makes that clean up the wheel well real nice. When I trimmed the lip off the fender and fabricated it so the welder could weld it back on.  the welder did a great job welding  that tab back on. Having those tabs I could use the fender inserts from nemesis.

How far is your front axle pushed forward?  Were you going to have front bumper, coilover or your track bar hitting the diff cover if you went forward more?

your build is really coming along nicely. 👍

Not to speak for him, but I have the same coilovers.  You can only go so far forward before the co spring will hit the EVO bracket for the coilover at full stuff.

Yeah, mine are catching on the bucket lip at times. I need to grind down. Would prefer to do a different bracket.

I did not move my axle forward, other then to make sure the track bar stayed aligned with the frame to axle and everything is clearing. I took the Jeep off-road a couple weeks ago and crossed it up and it did real good no rubbing.
