It’s pretty cool what you see under NODs (night vision). There’s a whole nother world out there we don’t see.

Yes…they see in color…in fact, we use certain colors as a “trigger” to entice a strike, like orange (color of roe) or red (gills)…UV is also used…the body chenille of these streamers have fibers that light up under uv light

That particular 25” rainbow was caught on a orange bead in Alaska on a 6wt fly rod…the sockeye salmon were in the middle of a spawn, and the trout were ignoring everything that didn’t look like a salmon egg…
